What we do

At SCTS our primary goal is to enable all those who live in the community to access all of the local amenities.  Our services are for people of any age with physical or mental health issues.  We have a fleet of 15 adapted minibuses enabling us to transport passengers who cannot access the community independently.  Our services vary from taking children with disabilities to local schools on a day-to-day basis, to escorting people with learning disabilities and the elderly whilst out and about to access their local community.  We can provide journeys all over the UK, visits to family and friends or holidays. Our aim is that our members maintain their independence with the added security of having a trained member of staff accompanying them if any assistance is required.  We transport people with disabilities to day centres and also transport people to various lunch clubs each day.  Throughout the school holidays each year we provide day trips for our members, destinations are seasonal and always good fun! Our most popular are the trips to the Seaside and to Garden Centres. Other trips could be for shopping, a Pub lunch, or a day out on the river (we always source wheelchair-accessible boats).

Our know our services are vital to our members, and others, as we are often their only means of being able to get out and about.  We have built up a rapport over the past 20 years with lunch clubs, day centres and hospitals; and through the years have become a highly valued community service.

We also have many wonderful comments about how much our service means to the people who use our transport and shopmobility services.

How can we help?

Slough Community Transport is here to help members with all their travel needs. We provide a door-to-door service, our friendly team will collect the member from the front door and give help if required getting on and off the buses. We will also ensure that they are escorted safely to their destination. All of our vehicles have been adapted to enable wheelchair users to get out and about without worry. Our buses also have low steps and grab rails, giving extra support to those who need it. Carers are transported at no extra cost to accompany you.

All transport is pre-booked with a minimum of 24 hours notice.

We charge £26 per year to become a member with us, the minimum return journey fare is £10 if traveling within Slough. For journeys outside of the Slough area, a price will be quoted to you when calling to make your booking.
